SER/VE: Virtual/Social Certificates are at the heart of what makes SER/VE a unique way to interact and grow, allowing invited students and their educators to learn skills and understandings for working within and even creating virtual/social learning environments. In all areas, participants will be given opportunities to earn these certificates through a combination of virtual and technology-enabled experiences, through password-protected online materials and tutorials, and, at times, through classes that are held within the SER/VE virtual environment.
Depending upon the skill or learning, achievement will be assessed through authentic tasks, through materials submitted, through contests and presentations, and through self-paced quizzes. Educators who achieve an Advanced Virtual/Social Certificate can petition to conduct their own classes or virtual, social, or entertainment events within the SER/VE environment. These request will be honored if they are well conceived and if they are feasible at the time asked. Please review the SER/VE Virtual/Social Certificate offerings below; indicate your interest and send any questions to Dr. O'Connor at eileen.oconnor1@gmail.com about how to participate.
