SER/VE, the STEM Exploratory Real/Virtual Environment, is a social and learning environment created by Dr. Eileen A. O'Connor that engages K12 students and their educators in virtually mediated experiences. Upon invitation, educators and students will have access to SER/VE where they will can gain 21st century skills by engaging in learning & challenges, by learning three-dimensional building and thus earn experiences, awards, and certificates.

Background and research info on SER/VE:
Dr. O'Connor, from SUNY Empire State College, began work in virtual spaces with teacher-education students in 2007. Since fall 2009, she has been developing & studying virtual learning with the aid of K12 students. Key areas are considered below:

PILOT: animated overview of the pilot study (with student tapes) in SER/VE (6 minutes)
