BACKGROUND OF PROGRAM AND COURSE DEVELOPERS AND IMPLEMENTORS:

Eileen O'Connor, the science and technology program developer and the creator of the online program and courses (Meeting Assessments and Standards with Technology / MAST ™), has been involved in teacher education, science education, and technology integration for more than 16 years. She is on the full time faculty of Empire State College in its Master of Arts in Teaching program and on the part-time faculty member at the University of Albany (delivering courses in teacher education; instructional technology; and education-research use); has taught for the SUNY Learning Network (online graduate courses), the College of St. Rose, and RPI. Eileen has also served as an Assistant Director at RPI where she created and implemented a seminal online program for RPI (that RPI continues to use). She has developed institutes, programs, and workshops for Title III, BOCES, and school districts. Eileen has been both an evaluator and a materials developer for the National Science Foundation (NSF) and has conducted significant investigations of published scientifically-based research on both student learning and teacher education in her work for NSF. She conducts Excel for Educational Statistics workshops for administrators (through BOCES) and has Comprehensive District Education Planning (CDEP) certification.

Eileen has a Ph.D in Curriculum, Instruction, and Design (Science Education and Instructional Technology) and holds a Distinguished Doctoral Dissertation award.
